What must take place in the last days,

                                           What are taking place NOW

Aside from the events mentioned in my previous post which reveal that we are now in the  end times as predicted in the Bible, the following events must also take place before the Lord’s second coming to judge those who rejected his gift of salvation.

The seeming occurrences (and brewing fulfillment of these events) are mind blowing and staggering. If we still don’t believe the King of kings together with his holy angels is now at the door, then nothing else will ever convince us that the time of his return is nigh.

Let us stop craning our necks and looking over others’ fences when we need to get our spiritual houses ready for the final showdown between God’s heavenly armies and the great deceiver’s minions.

1.      Israel as a cup of trembling

“I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.”    (Zechariah 12:2-3)

2. Damascus (capital of Syria) in ruins

     An oracle concerning Damascus:

“See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins…” (Isaiah 17:1)

3. Outpouring of God’s spirit on His people

And it shall come to pass that I will pour out my spirit on people.

Your sons and daughters will prophecy
Your old men will dream dreams
Your young men will see visions
I will pour out my spirit on my servants — both male and female
(Joel 2:28)

There has not been a time such as the present times when believers –men and women from across the different parts of the globe experience dreams and visions as predicted in God’s Word.

4. Signs and Wonders in the skies/heavens

I will work wonders in the heavens

and on earth, there will be blood and fire and billows of smoke.
The sun will be darkened and the moon will be as red as blood.
(Joel 2:30-31)

5. Increased travel and unprecedented increase in knowledge

      But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book  until the time of the end;

Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge will increase.”  ( Daniel 12:4)

( Air travel, technological advancements and innovations that were unheard of nor thought of before are part of our ordinary routine now — cellphones, 3d & interactive video games, world wide web, automatic and remote controlled automobiles, security devices such as CCTVs, etc.)

6. Push for one world government

 7. Apostasy/falling away from the faith; men following false doctrines

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.(I Timothy 4:1)

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. (2Tim 4:3-4)

9. Gospel preached to all nations

The advent of the internet has already made possible the preaching of the good news to the ends

 of the earth.

Folks, prophecy is happening before our eyes. What does it mean?

So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
 Matthew 24:33

He is coming soon for his bride! Let us prepare our spiritual houses lest we be caught unaware like the five foolish virgins who were out of oil for their lamp stands and therefore missed the bridegroom when he arrived.

His coming will be like a thief in the night. Let us then keep watch, clothing ourselves with love, love and love.

LOVE for the day is near.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not  give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the day approaching.  (Hebrews 10:24-25, NIV)

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. (Hebrews 10:24-25, NLT)
